hi im looking for up to date information from any one who has installed, or had a sky system installed resently, as I know the foot print has changed in the last year, as I was in the south of france this year and could not sky on a normal little dish, where as I could the year before from the same site, I have just bought a place in costa de Antigua and im told I would require a 1.2 dish .... is this correct or do I need larger?
I inquired while there with uktv and they have systems installed facing another sat., not astra, with most of the uk channels for about 370euro one of payment, but if I could have got a normal astra sky feed with wotever size dish then people could have bought there own sky card with them and get the service they pay for at home

For all other Sky pay channels, the card will work in any sky box.
"they are going to install a new secure system in 2015". Clearly such a statement improves your sales pitch, but what is your evidence for stating this? Everything I have read suggests that BBC are unhappy with the cost of the present encryption, and would be unlikely to move to a much more expensive one.
No need to shout, it was a simple question, to which the answer is it is just speculation. We shall see.
thanks for the answers so far, and I note the comments about the sky card, but they cant be paired to a particular receiver, as I have several separate sky systems in my house, a sky plus in the lounge, a Grundig in the kitchen, and a tecnomate motorised in the bedroom, and the card works in all 3 also in one I take away in my caravan to france for instance, it is only a card with the most basic sky package. In FV I was only really planning to get what ever is free on a standard uk box with no card, so that's the system im really inquiring about ....anyone got that??
