Moses movie slammed over all-white cast in lead roles - but director Ridley Scott claims he wouldn't get financing if he hired 'Mohammad so-and-so from such-and-such'
Well, that's strange, my Morrocan friend who used to work at Nestor's is in it.

QuoteThe cast includes a number of actors of color, including Ben Kingsley, Dar Salim and Indira Varma, as well as others in minors roles including as servants.

It's being advertised on Spanish Tv now.
"Only in Cines from 5th December"
Looking forward to it. That's a film I'd like to see in the cinema.

I was just as incensed when I discovered that in the "Avatar" movie, none of the Avatars were actually played by real Avatars.
Even the Earth Colonialists in the movie weren't colonialists at all. It turns out they were so-called "actors" and were just pretending in order to "tell a story" !
I'll never trust a movie again.

Not real !
I hate to break this to you Biggles but it turns out the character William Wallace in Braveheart wasn't really William Wallace and wasn't even Scottish.
You are quite right not to trust movies.
And Richard Van Lesbian, who changed his name to Dick Van Dyke, wasn't a proper Cockeneee in Mary Poppins.
Now that's a shocker!
When did this news break?
Ages ago, and the accent was so convincing, it scarred my childhood
This is all too much for me.
Egyptians that aren't Egyptian.
Avatars that aren't Avatars.
Scotsmen that aren't Scotsmen.
Cockneys that aren't Cockneys.
It's as if the movies are just make-believe !
I'm going to have to lie down for a while.
..... The Hobbits were real though weren't they ? .... Weren't they?
Don't think Burt Lancaster was an Apache either, and hasn't Johnny Depp recently played Tonto, its all so confusing.
At least they speak English in Exodus, just like Moses himself did...
Well he did. It says so in the Bible.
" And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,
Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd."
See? That's english.
I hope those sheep weren't wolves in sheeps clothing either.
Or mutton dressed as lamb
