Title: Iberia flights from Heathrow
Post by: bksk2004 on November 17, 2014, 20:39:45 PM
Just booked our summer flights with Iberia.  For the first time in ages (certainly since BA took over) there is a range of flights at reasonable prices from Heathrow. Glad to have them back!

Is it direct or do you still have to go via Madrid?

Still have to go via Madrid Dave, but good flight times and reasonable lay over.

They've certainly got some keen prices, especially on the way back, and if you are lucky the MAD-LHR is on a BA plane too... though some (and only some) of the flights on the new BA direct route are lower, especially with only hand baggage.

I'm not sure I agree about the timings, I quite like some of the newer EZY schedules where you can have an early morning start from the UK (or evening on a Thurs) and then late evening back to the UK. Can do some really good long weekends with maximum beach time. It would be nice if the last MAD flight was an hour earlier and then get the last flights back to the UK. We hate losing most of a day travelling!
