Title: Renting an apartment
Post by: Paulyboy on June 23, 2014, 22:03:02 PM
Hi all
Can someone please clarify what the consequences are if I brought an apartment in caleta de fuste and wanted to rent it out as a holiday let?
I've noticed a lot of people are advertising lets at 3 months minimum, is this some law the government have in place?

Many thanks
Paul

Read the sections on illegal lettings; http://www.janetanscombe.com/ (http://www.janetanscombe.com/) before you go any further!

If you read through the posts already on this site (Fuerte Forum) you will find a lot of info and discussion.

There is certainly a legal difference between short-term (i.e. holiday/tourist) lets, and long-term (i.e. residential) lets. Whether you will legally be able to do one or the other (both is unlikely) is another matter; one that has been discussed ad nauseam here and on the other site mentioned above.
