Title: Filmon and the World Cup - Fifa banning it in Spain
Post by: Biggles on June 17, 2014, 13:54:52 PM
Last night watching World Cup - BBC on Filmon the screen displayed that Fifa wouldn't allow the broadcast in in my country (Spain).

Did anyone else experience this?

Workaround:

Hola didn't seem to connect with Filmon (maybe it will but I gave up waiting) but the Hola extension for Firefox or Chrome works fine with BBC 1
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone)

and with the BBC Sport website.

Hola Extension: https://hola.org/ (https://hola.org/)

I'm guessing it'll work for the world cup on ITV too.

Thanks Biggles for the tip. Put ITV on 10 minutes before the show started and watched the whole game, no problem, no FIFA warning. Shame England couldn't win.
