You'll break the internet if you try that.

I'm expecting my lead to diminish tonight - some of you have Messi picked.
(There again he's playing against Bosnia AND Herzegovia - 22 guys might slow him down)

Post by: esty on June 24, 2014, 19:40:34 PM
If Barcelona are serious about putting a bid in for Suarez they should bite their hands off or at least get him to do it for them.;)

In all seriousness I think he was banned for 10 matches last time, if he's found guilty of doing it again which I think is odds on he could be banned for a serious amount of time or even from ever playing again which would be a real shame as he's a cracking player, however as an evertonian I wouldn't shed any tears.

BTW he's in my team so respect him as a player but as a man  he's a disgrace.

According  to the stats 1 shot on target isnt good to me but thats my opinion

Players on 100-300k a week cant beat a nation like Costa Rica stinks of no passion or ambition or quality

Uruguay Costa Rica 3 million people in the countries

England 45 million people  :(
Title: Re: Fantasy Dross World Cup
Post by: esty on June 24, 2014, 20:39:55 PM
Do believe they have the passion, however we are seriously lacking on the skills front. All the experts on the panel seem to have the answers yet most are x players who have never won any major international trophies, they haven't got a clue how to fix it, that's the bottom line. Unless we have a fresh approach at the grass roots level where youngsters with potential are identified protected and coached by experts then things will never improve. Finding the experts is the problem.

Makes me laugh when Alan Shearer is saying it's not good enough, it wasn't in his era either.
Title: Re: Fantasy Dross World Cup
Post by: Elite of the forum on June 24, 2014, 20:47:44 PM
Not good enough for years same will happen in the euro,s christ a championship team could qualify ,it will be the same again how good we are etc etc makes me laugh

Would help if these big clubs would stop signing players for their youth teams christ give the young ones a level playing field what chance have they got when they sign someone for thousands of pounds to play in the youth teams paying em 10k a week

Ive seen passion in Columbia Mexico Chile not in England im afraid

Post by: admin on July 06, 2014, 11:07:20 AM
Not sure why, but there are no definite times for the last (just one?) transfer window.

"
Making Transfers
You can make unlimited changes to your team up until 9pm on Thursday, June 12.

During Brazil Dream Team there will be two traditional Transfer Windows when you can change up to four players in each, as well as a bonus window allowing one further change:

Transfer Window 1 opens at 9am on June 25 and closes at 5pm on June 28.
Transfer Window 2 opens at 9am on July 2 and closes at 5pm on July 4.
Bonus Transfer Window opening and closing times to be announced at random, so keep an eye on your emails or follow @dreamteamfc on Twitter.

Players transferred into your team during a transfer window will start scoring from the closure of that window:

Players transferred into your team in Transfer Window 1 score from 5pm on June 28.
Players transferred into your team in Transfer Window 2 score from 5pm on July 4.
"

The  "follow @dreamteamfc on Twitter"  thing is online here https://twitter.com/dreamteamfc?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dreamteamfc.com%2F&profile_id=22503279&tw_i=485563464715603968&tw_p=embeddedtimeline&tw_w=353084992382988288 (https://twitter.com/dreamteamfc?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dreamteamfc.com%2F&profile_id=22503279&tw_i=485563464715603968&tw_p=embeddedtimeline&tw_w=353084992382988288)

"allowing one further change" - confused. Does that mean we can only change one more player?

Title: Re: Fantasy Dross World Cup
Post by: Ronnietheblue on July 10, 2014, 15:44:40 PM
You've both got as I see it Rojos, Mertesacker and Messi. Your exception is Muller.
Lisa's exceptions are Romero, Ozil and Goetze. If Romero keeps a clean sheet all over. Having said that if Aguerra gets a hat trick and Kroos scores, could pip you both.
Title: Re: Fantasy Dross World Cup

Title: Re: Fantasy Dross World Cup

QuoteFor those asking: Players who play in the World Cup third-place play-off will still be awarded points as normal. And no, there will be no more transfers before the final on Sunday. So these two are stuck in half of your teams.

From https://www.facebook.com/dreamteamfc

Now I've no idea what scenario would suit me.

Loads of people rightly complaining on that facebook page.

Fifa's website had their version of Fantasy and looking at the rules it seems a better scoring system.

You initially pick a 23 man squad and can sub at any time.
Assists etc are counted.

For those of us who are still around in 4 years I recommend Fifa's over The Sun's.

On the other hand if Muller scores a hattrick tonight then it's obviously a great game of football knowledge, skill and judgement where only intellectual giants will flourish.
