Let's hope that all drivers keep to the rules of the road, and then no-one will get fined ;)

Everyone knew it . Just good to see common sense prevail for once.

This is the sort of thing that puts me off hiring a car in Fuerteventura.

It's the sort of thing which will stop people visiting Fuerteventura in time.  "Biting the hand that feeds you" is the phrase.

I have been renting cars in Fuerty for years & I have never had any trouble with the Guardia. The only time I have ever seen them is at their roundabout stakeouts & the odd document check point in Jandia, that seemed to be for the benefit of locals, not tourists

Old Bill are the same the world over hammer the motorist for speeding but won't get off their opening at the lower end of the alimentary canal through which solid waste is eliminated from the body and do something about all the lunatic overtaking and taxis hard up behind you when your doing the speed limit.

I try to observe the speed limits but it is easy to go 1 or 2 KPH over the limit. I wonder if their equipment is accurate enough to have this small margin.

I often notice how so many locals, when passing the speed camera boxes between the airport and Rosario, drop their speed to around 80kph even though it's a 90kph limit. Do they know something we don't?
