This is not an April Fool joke! :D
After over a year since we thought the new bus station was finished, it's due to open on 1st April 2014.
This week they have put a new fence up at the back of the site, revarnished the steps, cleaned the buildings, put road markings down, marked out car parking spaces and disabled and taxi spaces. They've also put green bin bags in the bins!
A notice went up yesterday at the old bus stop to say that as from1 April that stop will be discontinued, and the new bus station will be the place to catch the buses.
is this a bus stop for the regular bus's ? i heard it's a bus park for private tourist bus's only to park up, a bit hard to believe, then again ! :o
It is a stop for the regular buses. There are 4 notices up at the current stop to say it will be discontinued as a stop from 1 April.
About flippin' time. It's only taken 2 years :o
Mind you, it is April 1st, Brightspark may have been going around sticking posters up 8)
Next you'll be telling us Nestors are doing normal size portions LOL
Will probably take 2 years to dismantle the old bus shelter and stop - unless they make it an official stopping place for the mini train.
Emmi, it is an official minitrain stop - there's a yellow post next to it - ideal for the market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The bus station opened this morning :), and the buses are using it! ;).
At 09.30 this morning, they were still putting up the Cabildo stickers ::). There aren't any bus timetables up though! :(
The toilets are locked as well :(

After two years of being built, nobody can find the keys :o
Patience,Patience.Rome was'nt built in a day ;) ;)
Did The Captain cut the tape?
I would'nt have thought so as it's rumoured the scissors are with the toilet keys
They've got the keys ;) as I was there when they were locked up this morning :( It's a good job I didn't need to use them! :)

They will be mid May when they hear that you are coming out ;D

This is great news Steve
Emmi, the red bus shelter is being taken down today :o They don't mess about here on Fuerteventura ;) ;D
:o ;D ;D ;D
WHAT?????? So soon :o :o
Much easier to take down the shelter or else one if the workers wanted it for themselves.
Why didn't they just leave it there for the mini train passengers?
It may confuse people on holiday if they leave it there, not everyone who comes to Caleta reads this forum and knows whats going on. They will probably use it somewhere else where it's needed.
Well I understand that is a possibility, but a few multilingual signs may have been cheaper to produce.
The old bus shelter has nearly gone this morning.
If you re-built it opposite Dulce y Leche as a round structure it could be a band stand. Male voice choirs would be nice!
