Visiting the island for the first time in a long time, wheres the closest point of the town, where we can
strip down on the beach ??
many thanks
I suggest you walk (30 minutes) or get the route 6 bus (15 minutes) to the big hotels south of the town. Walk past the hotels and in about 200m you will see more and more people nude. A reliable marker is the first lifeguard lookout. Naturist from there!
Many thanks, I can recall the walk (vaguely)from 20 plus years ago!!
Just beware of Toeman, although I did hear he had moved to Lanzarote ?
There are often naturists between the town and the hotels too. Between the sunbeds and the RIU hotels it's quite common to see them/us. Also, now that the very last hotel in town with direct beach access is the naturist Gran Hotel Natura, I'm sure we'll be seeing more and more naturists there in the Flag Beach area.
Do you wrap the towel round your waist?
Or round your head so that no one can recognise you? :D :D :D
(Edit)
Since the earlier post about wrapping a towel around yourself in "textile" areas has been removed, this no longer makes senset
This might help to explain it

And the small beach bar immediately north of the hotels is naturist friendly.
I often walk to the RIU hotels from Corralejo along the beach path behind Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real and Gran Hotel Natura, as soon as I pass the Bahia Real I strip off and it is nude all the way. I then cover up as I pass the 2 RIU hotels and of course if I encounter any families with kids along the way I cover up again.

Well I don't. Of course I don't go out of my way to force my nudity on them; however, as my kid taught me (and confirmed by studies of many children), kids don't care about nudity. It is only parents who assume nudists are pedophiles. Consequently, I keep my line, follow my general path with my swimmer based walkman in my ears and walk on.
It is Fuereventura; enjoy your freedom! :)

To be fair, not all textile parents feel that way - some just don't want to strip off themselves, but can accept that others might have perfectly innocent motives. But why is naturism so often regarded as an "adults only" thing? It should be 100% family-centred (if you have one, of course). There's nothing more natural than kids being totally unaware, or at any event totally unconcerned, when surrounded by naked adults and children. And they always are like that until they've been indoctrinated, although adolescents almost always go through a self-imposed textile period, even ones who've been brought up naturist. But that's understandable and doesn't last long.
