Apparently Nestor's is moving to larger premises. He will be taking over the restaurant below The Zanzibar at Montecastillo. Opening night is pencilled in for March 8th.
That is a real disappointment Woe..I have arthritis now and can't walk up the hill. Can get a taxi up I suppose but not the same as just ambling along to it in the evening :-\
Is this 'Caleta speak' or is it confirmed?
I know several people who popped into Jaynes wine bar on the way to Nestors or afterwards so hope it wont affect her trade too much either. :(
Confirmed by Nestor to me last week.
Gutted, personally, but I hope the move works out well for Nestor & family!!
Current location is the closest restaurant to our apartment - it's been so nice to have our favourite restaurant right on the doorstep!
There have been a few buisnesses moved up there but unfortunately they have closed. Hopefully Nestors will be successful.

Confirmed by Nestor to me last week.
He's the victim of his own success, and needs bigger premises. Hopefully it won't be like Fado Rock.
I heard he's closing the present Restaurant March 4th :'(
The mini train stops outside Zanzibar now so that will be handy for anyone who doesnt fancy the walk up hill. :)

The latest is that, the present location will stay open as Nestor's Takeaway :P
wonder if I'm barred at the new location, unfortunate incident with a goat (curry) was my downfall at the old place :o

I wish him all the best, I like Nestor.
Is it up near where the market is?
The market has moved, Wigangirl. It moved last October to the land behind the ain bus stop, next to the main road and underpass.
ok, thanks ;D
The new place is at Apartamentos Elite Fuerteventura Beach Club. Under The Zanzibar. The next complex up from Montecastillo Centre.
For anyone who is interested,Nestor has posted pictures of the interior of the new premises on his Facebook page.Looks very spacious, can't wait to try it in June.
I'm a novice with Facebook (always resisted until recently).
How do I find Nestor's Facebook page?
https://www.facebook.com/nestor.alfarito?fref=ts (https://www.facebook.com/nestor.alfarito?fref=ts)
Sorry, but it looks like the Breakfast Room in a hotel at Gatwick Airport. I think he's lost the Ambience of the old place :'(
Hi Jeff.(lionfish).Hope you and your lovely wife are well.If you finally get into Facebook, there is a link on my profile to my Facebook page. There are quiet a lot of forum members on Facebook, and it's great for keeping in touch.
Thanks to the Facebook experts I have made some progress, and friends today!
Nestor's on 12th March for us, even with the walk up the hill!
Denboy:- good to hear from you. We are over March, May and July/August so may miss you in June - good luck anyway.

That is very charitable, will pop up there when next over but Fado Rock mixed grill will take some beating!
Went to the opening BBQ last night, it was heaving, they were putting out more table and chairs all night. The queue for drinks was like a queue at free bar at a wedding. Absolutely fabulous night and will be booking for dinner or 2 this week. Restaurant is lovely and nestor was being his usual welcoming self. Masses of food, it didn't run out all night despite it being so busy. All the best to him ans Emme yum yum

I said they'd come out of the woodwork for a "Freebie", ( I don't mean you Hev ). Somebody told me last night that the food was free, but you had to pay an Arm and a Leg for drinks :o
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
BA BA, BA BARBARA ANN 8)
FAB! I love the Bleach Boys
I'm sure the answer is yes as the main contact number was a mobile, hence no point changing it. However, we're due at Nestor's at 7:30 so I will check and report back (may be tomorrow!!).
Well, just back from Nestors'.
In terms of 'phone numbers:- 0034 699 219 510 or 0034 648 895 811, which is probably the same as before.
As usual, Nestor was on good form, the food excellent, as always, and the portions humungous. The new restaurant creates a different atmosphere, much more space between tables etc, but then you lose some of the social interaction which was always a feature of the previous establishment. There are more staff, but they are, understandably, still finding their feet in the new situation.
Wishing all the best for future success to Nestor and all the family.

That's a nice way of saying, the Atmosphere has gone :o
I'll be there next week. :D
I can see why they call Woe10.....Woe!!
As for the atmosphere, we go there to eat and as long as Nestor does what he always does and that is to call at each table for a quick chat, that suits us fine.

Exactly
Just been to Nestor's tonight and the new restaurant is fantastic!
The decor and furniture are top class and the food as always is awesome!
3 € in a taxi up the hill!well worth the trip up,so can't wait to go next week.
They were turning people away as every seat and table was being used.
I believe the new people in Nestor's old place are opening a Tex Mex restaurant called Piccadilly!!! :)

And how was the atmosphere? No, let me guess..............around 78% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen and a few other gases thrown in for good measure. ;D

More than likely, seems like you are very knowledgeable deso. :)
Is that measure of "atmosphere" before or after the meal?
Suspect it's quite different the following morning after the ribs and several beers!
