myself and my wife are coming to Fuerteventura on the 11th Jan for a week for our 20th wedding anniversary staying at Corralejo in the Suite Hotel Atlantis resort.
I am looking at hiring a car its only £71 for week so will save us price of taxis to and from airport but was wondering what car parking is like around the Suite Hotel Atlantis resort.
Many Thanks
David
It's parking on the road outside the hotel, not brilliant I'm afraid and not always spaces. Make sure you turn your wing mirrors in also as the tourist buses back up down the street and it's fairly narrow with cars parked both sides.
I don't know if the hotel itself offers any parking, but there's on-road parking everywhere around the place You may not be able to park right outside, at least not for more than a few moments for unloading, but there will certainly be a space not too far away, and there's no such thing as paid-for parking in Corralejo. There are some machines in Puerto but I think it's free almost everywhere on the island. The most important thing will be to have a street map handy so you can find the hotel again once you've parked. Very many of the roads are one-way and it can be confusing at first, but on the whole it's all laid out in blocks so you just need to do a LH or RH circuit.
thanks for that :)
how much would a taxi be from airport? I was thinking for £71 car hire there wouldn't be much difference compared to a taxi both ways and I will have a car to explore all week
Thanks again

Hi
Taxi from the airport is approx 55 euros each way. As you say you will have the car for the week and even with petrol (few hundred miles) will work out same cheaper.
just booked car with plus car after reading the great reviews on here :) what a great forum.
now to plan some days out sightseeing, is that rusty old ship still washed up on the island? I saw some photos on a site a few days ago it looked epic

There are always parking spaces available in the street before the hotel street.
