i am thinking of upgrading to sky hd from sky plus using my uk address, would it be the right time now that so i,m told the satellites how now been moved to there new positions. this is for fuerteventura

Well almost.
The first new satellite has been in operation since Dec 2012.
The second is not even in position, but it expected, say SES, to be operational early February.
The third will be operational later in 2014.
So whoever told you the new satellites are all in their new positions is only partially correct.

You will get more channels at the moment, depending on your subscription this will dictate which.
The general consensus is that once 2E is in position and starts broadcasting that we should go back to a similar situation to what we had before all the musical satellites.
If you subscribe to HD, you will get a new box, delivered to your UK address, and you will have to get your card 'paired' to that box. This involves having your card in your new box and ringing sky to 'pair' it.
You will also start a new 12 month contract which means that you should, technically, have your box plugged in to a UK phone line.
I did manage to pair a card in a box in Fuerte, I think I did it by ringing on my english mobile and withholding my number.
I have kept this short and simple but it does depend on your subscription and how many boxes you have.

Personally, I would wait until the middle/end of February when Astra 2E should be up and running.
So long as we get the same sort of stuff as we had before then you will get more channels, especially if you subscribe to sports and movies.
