Title: BluetoothApis.dLL
Post by: Ole Man River on December 09, 2013, 11:57:53 AM
Hi all you experts, Help!
The computer has thrown a wobbiley on me. I have Windows 8. Usually use desktop mode. It is telling me in Spanish that the above needs installing- I THINK? I can still use Windows 8 mode but everything is unavailable on desktop.
I have just noticed that the spellcheck is not working here too.
Norton backup was supposed to be installed but yesterday it said your 14 day trail is up. We paid for it about 2 weeks ago.
Not sure if this is relevent?
What Bluetooth do I need to install. It's 64 bit. Or what else?
Thanks :(

Try following solution on this website

http://www.fixfilesnow.com/winfile-b/bluetoothapis.dll.html (http://www.fixfilesnow.com/winfile-b/bluetoothapis.dll.html)

i would also run a chkdisk which might find and repair the fault or problems on your system to do this in Win 8 go to option 1 on this website

Hi beachlife & thanks for the help so far.
I did the first link & it did a full scan which brought up loads & loads of problems - then it said Register or carry on with the free start option. Neither would activate!??? -this seems to be part of my problem, you can't get into things!
Do I go for your second link now or not please? Seems really bad. I do need to put all these things right.
What about the BluetoothApis.dll? ::)

Go to here

http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (http://www.malwarebytes.org/)

Download and run the free version of this and let it scan your system.

The bluetoothapis.dll is  required by microsoft to run things but you have picked up a virus/trojan/malware from something you have downloaded . Do not try to download a dll file as you can cause more problems if you do not know what you are doing.

After you have run the Malwarebytes scan then go to the chk disk option I mentioned earlier. It may require you to restart your computer and ask you if you want to run the chk disk at the next start. Switch off computer and restart it and ask it to run the chk disk. This will probably take a long time so I would leave it running over night and check in the morning. It should have completed the scan reboot your computer and see if problems are still there (hopefully not). Let me know if problems still there.

To Run "Check Disk" from Properties of Drive

1. Open the This PC window (Windows + E).

2. Right click the drive that you want to check for errors, and click/tap on Properties.

3. Click/tap on the Tools tab, and click on the Check button under Error checking.

4. Do either step 5 or 6 below for what you would like to do.

5. If No Errors are Found on Drive

A) You could click/tap on on Cancel to not run chkdsk on the drive.

OR

B) You could click/tap on Scan drive to run chkdsk on the drive anyways. Go to step 7 below.

6. If Errors are Found on Drive

A) Click/tap on Repair drive, and go to step 7 below.

7. When the scan or repair is complete, you can click/tap on Show Details to have Event Viewer open to view the chkdsk logs of these results.

When you right click at 2 on the drive (probably C) the tools tab may not turn up first time so repeat it again usually turns up the second time.

De nada

I have found the dll file that I told you I would find . I will try to pop round some time before I go for Christmas if I can and put it onto your register (if not will do it when I return in January).
