Others will argue otherwise , but it is not very popular in Caleta , go somewhere else out of town and it is very acceptable :)
Agree with MinRich. Caleta's full of the "not in front of my kids" brigade. Head south towards Jandia, you'll find freedom and much nicer beaches.

Or come up north to Corralejo or El Cotillo - we aren't prudes up here. Maybe it's because there are so many northern and central Europeans in the north.

i agree el cotillo is very good, usually very friendly people at the lagoons and we (my wife and I0 have met some really nice guys.....nothing better than meeting people and inviting them back to the apartment for a nude bbq
