Title: Help - Flights August 2014
Post by: Doddie on October 31, 2013, 11:01:29 AM
Hi all,

Just wondering if someone has any ideas regarding flights to Fuerteventura in August 2014 (preferably from Gatwick).

My family and I (9 adults and 4 children) are going on a special family holiday and have reserved a hotel for 10 days in August in Costa Caleta (they have agreed to vary dates depending on flights)

So far I cannot find any flights cheaper than around £350/400 including luggage per person!!

We were waiting for Norwegian Air to release their schedule, but as yet Fuerteventura is not included and they wont confirm if it will (despite holidays with First Choice to Fuerteventura using Norwegian in August).

Does anyone have any ideas on cheaper options or possibilities? We had budgeted for flights around £250  :(

many thanks

If you can fly with Ryanair from Stansted, it comes out at £311 inc 15kg luggage.  Fly out 8th - 18th.  Can't see it any cheaper than that at the moment, but I'd keep checking regularly.  Its so expensive because its the Summer School Hols.

You could do London Heathrow to Madrid and then on to Fuerte with BA/Iberia for £322 per adult including 23kg luggage. Have a look at the Iberia website; I selected 9th out and 20th return, other dates were silly prices! You'd need to book as 2 parties as they have a max of 9 people per booking, or they give you a number to ring instead of booking online. I've flown with them (via Madrid) many times and you aren't squashed in like sardines on 'holiday' flights. It's quite nice to stretch your legs in Madrid airport as well, rather than just sitting for 4 hours.
