How long's a piece of string!?!
Just after onions.
Property prices have fallen steeply over the last few years and some new builds look good deals.
There are a few new builds like these that I think look really nice: http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/canaries/C5310.htm (http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/canaries/C5310.htm)
Is the opinion that prices will continue to fall?
As for letting from time to time. I work for two massive companies in the uk (long story). Would work friends and family imply that I wouldn't need to apply for a license or is that dodgy territory.
I appreciate that i'd have to do much more investigating and reading up. However, if it's a non starter....
Thanks for your time it's very much appreciated!
there never is a right or wrong time - just a decision you make about what you want to get out it. It maybe that you just want holiday home. Then buy and enjoy, every month you delay is a month you cant be there. If you are buying to make money then its a more difficult answer.
I think that if the Canary Islands really want to get all the empty property off the books they could open up the "tourist license" requirements and encourage investment again. From a simple economics perspective each rented property requires people to look after them, this increases the number of jobs and by implication more money is spent in the local shops. However simple economics doesn't take into account self interest of those who may be in power or allegedly in the pockets of others.
If you have the money buy now after all its making you nothing sitting in the bank ! What can you lose, an opportunity to be sipping you favourite tipple in the Sun?
