So thats Woes problem. Moveing to fast for the fly. But then the thunder came and woe set up a no fly zone.

You can only swat a fly with a proper fly swatter with holes in it.
Anything like a shoe or book is no good. They feel the air pressure coming down and fly off. With a swatter, the air goes through the holes, hence no pressure, Seemples 8)

However, the common Fuerty Fly never seems to land & stay still, anywhere apart from on your dinner plate. That makes swatting a bit tricky
We used to have one of these electric fly zappers. The kids loved it. Great value for a tenner.
