Post by: fifi on July 23, 2013, 10:28:54 AM
The Island plan will be on public display until September 3rd if anyone is interested in seeing it. It can also be accessed online. Details are in this
link. (http://translate.google.ie/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.canarias7.es%2Farticulo.cfm%3Fid%3D306494&act=url)

Hi Biggles, sorry, I know some of those Google translations are terrible. I will have a look later and see if I can find the actual plan on the Cabildos site and post it here for you.

I dont have any money but I have lots of plans too Voldemort. ;)

Well Biggles I am still trying to figure it all out for you. RTV have an article about it too http://www.rtvc.es/noticias/fuerteventura-aprueba-las-modificaciones-del-plan-insular-de-ordenaci%C3%B3n-104017.aspx (http://www.rtvc.es/noticias/fuerteventura-aprueba-las-modificaciones-del-plan-insular-de-ordenaci%C3%B3n-104017.aspx)

Translated version of text here (http://translate.google.ie/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rtvc.es%2Fnoticias%2Ffuerteventura-aprueba-las-modificaciones-del-plan-insular-de-ordenaci%25C3%25B3n-104017.aspx)

"As for the tourism sector, the document includes the areas for development in El Cotillo, Majanicho, Corralejo,Parque Hollandes, Rosa del Lago, Caleta de Fuste, Las Playitas, Tarajalejo, Costa Calma-Matas Blancas, Esquinzo-Butihondo and Morro Jable."

The Cabildos site has tons of pages which have to be opened individually but I cant actually find much information apart from pictures and content pages. Perhaps someone else can find a way in to view the information. I will keep at it as I love a challenge. :D

PIOF on Cabildos website (http://www.cabildofuer.es/portal/p_46_final_Distribuidor_3.jsp?seccion=s_fdes_d4_v1.jsp&codbusqueda=258&language=es&codResi=1&codMenuPN=283&codMenu=279&layout=p_46_final_Distribuidor_3.jsp)

I did my best. ;)

The Island plan will be discussed during a  tour of the six municipalities. The aim is  to explain the advantages of the document and generate debate. I read in another article that the PIOF will need to be approved in January next year so presumably the (plans which are still a mystery to us all unless we manage to go into Rosario to have a look and bring an interpretor with us, because we cant make head nor tail of the Cabildos website  ;))  will not please everyone.

On Monday, July 29, there will be a meeting in Corralejo (again a little bit of a mystery because Canarias7 did not give an address or time for the meeting) and on  Tuesday July 30 there will be a meeting in Pajara plenary hall. Finally, on Wednesday at 18.00 in the cultural center in Betancuria and 20.00 at the Casino de Antigua.

I would love to know what changes are being proposed for the Tourist areas in particular.

Its a guessing game im afraid. :)

I think I have finally found it, but all 270 pages which are in Spanish will need to be translated.

Any volunteers for the interesting bits? :)

Touristic zoning plans are around page 170 and each area is discussed if anyone is interested in having a look.
