100,000 passengers are forecast to visit the Island on cruise ships between October and April next year, an increase on last years total of 90,081. :)
Sadly, cruise passengers typically bring little to the local economy.
Oh - so the numerous coach loads of them travelling around the Island on sightseeing tours, Cool Running and their full compliment of trikes fully booked, Puerto harbour side busy with strollers, Los Rotundas full of shoppers - that's what a cruise ship day looks like to me.
I suppose our "all inclusive" guests spend much, much more per day of their stay on Fuerteventura than 100,000 cruise liner guest do!

99,996 of them stay in Puerto Del Rosario, wandering around aimlessly wondering where the hell they are. I've seen them :o :o

No, all-inclusive visitors don't spend much more. Cruise ship passengers are basically bored, so they'll wander around making the place look busy, but not spending money. They are often all-inclusive too, so they might buy an odd drink whilst ashore, but are much more likely just to want to visit the island's bars to use the toilets.
They book up the golf course in Caleta.
