Title: Amuley Mar II
Post by: Deano72 on June 04, 2013, 21:16:44 PM
Hi, have just completed purchase on a property at Amuley Mar II in Caleta today, I believe several others have also.

I'm looking for a builder to complete tiling the patio and fit aluminium handrail like the other properties, does anyone have a contact?

Plus any other helpful advice, been on holiday to Caleta 3 times in the past year, love the place but no more hotels for us now! Although the Broncemar and Costa Caleta where we stayed previously we enjoyed very much.

Looking forward to being in Caleta (if only 3 or 4 times a year for the moment)  8)

Thanks.

I cant give advise on builders. New to buying property myself
But we stayed in Amuley Mar II for seven weeks earlier this year. We were going to buy as the price was dropped dramatically. It was soon after the floods they had.
Our place was nice, no good for me as I have problems with mobility. Our problem was it had also been damaged by the flooding and the smell was terrible downstairs and lots of mould growth after numerous cleaning. The lower floor had a garage door on the outside, inside was just a locked door, so have no idea what was behind!
If your place has a "garage" room as such, many have made it a proper conversion with a wall and windows. That seems wise.
Lovely pool area and well kept!
Good luck.
Jo :)

Hi,

Thanks Deso and Gunner, Mark must be good as he is booked up for the next three months! In any case he has recommended someone else who is familiar with working on the AM complex properties.

Jo, we were on the island during the floods, only a small amount of water came into the garage of the property we just bought (lucky for us). Yes, we take your advice thanks and before the end of the year hopefully the garage will be converted into a second sitting room / 4th bedroom in front of the 3rd bedroom. Looking forward to being beside that pool in a few weeks time. Hope your house purchasing goes well somewhere else more accessable.

Thanks all.
