Can honestly say that I've never seen this stretch of road without that wire fence running alongside it, credit to the guys getting the wheels in motion and getting the place cleaned up, look forward to seeing the improvements.

Crazy, there are huge 3 bed apartments going for around 50k last year, no doubt they are even cheaper now, great time to buy.
They've just knocked another €500 off it ;D http://www.idealista.com/inmueble/26135982/ (http://www.idealista.com/inmueble/26135982/)

By my reckoning it's gone up €50, they might be using cookie monitoring like some airlines allegedly do. ;D
Could be right there Deso. When searching for flights I always clear the Cookies before I actually decide to book, then start fresh.
Gone up by €50? About the cost of a new set of wipers Woe ;D
Can I remind you all that Nuevo Horizonte is no longer it is reverting back to Costa De Antigua all road signs are being updated and the negative stigma that Nuevo Horizonte has had will be gone, as the new sign on mountain at the side of the tree lined road viva Costa De Antigua.
I've put a lot of new photos of Costa de Antigua on:

What do you mean "Reverting back". To my recollection, and I've been here over 18 years, it was always Nuevo Horizonte, and only recently called Costa Antigua. All the locals call it Nuevo, or Horizonte, just as all the locals call Caleta ( "Costa Caleta" another trumped up name ) Castillo.
You can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear :o

Sow's ear dear. ;D
I don't care about the name but the community is doing a fantastic job there and the place is looking much better. It just shows what "people power" and determination can do. Well done to everyone concerned I take my hat off to you.

It's not "People Power" that should be doing this, it's the councils job to cough up the money and employ out of work people, ( of which there are many in Horizonte ) to clean all the mess up.
What is the Cabildo doing. NOTHING. Just sat behind their desks twiddling thumbs, and thinking of ways to extract money from the EU.
I saw this car being driven by a grey suited man in Caleta yesterday. It's a brand new top of the range Jaguar XF Saloon. The price in UK is £80,000. The mind boggles.

Had a look for myself last week and its a credit to all involved. The photo's are very good and may I respectfully suggest that if someone could post photo's of how the place looked before the work was started it would help shut the begrudges up. Its the old story I think, 80% of the work done by 20% of the people. From me its a genuine thanks to all who gave their time and effort.
Just back myself and the improvement is remarkable...There are nbot only physical improvements but social improvements also, classes,in dance, flamenco guitar .,organized walks etc , all designed to improve the social fabric of the place.Anyone in the area can join the Association for one euro per month.. well worth supporting

Took this a couple of years ago waiting for a taxi, pretty much summed up the whole area really
