the first time we visited fuerteventura was1997 we stayed at castillo beach sol, no golf corse, no atlantico,but still our best holiday ever goats and cats everywhere and a long way up chimpmonk mountain lol
we then stayed in caleta dorada which was still self catering then and had a spanish bar that sold great beer
next was fuertosol not very good to be honest
we then went to caleta dorda vip villas nice and private but caleta dorada had gone all inclusive which was awfull never stayed in bar area
we returned to vip villas again following year lol
few years break then last year we stayed at campo de golf villa zoe loved the place so did my grandaughters(may)
sept first stay in corralejo stayed at mirados de lobos golf very quite and private
so to this year we staying at campo de golf again 5 star villa bringing all the family again
we love the island but am i becoming a snob the wife thinks so lol cant be im only a bricklayer :P
Hi Olly36, I don't think you're a snob you just know what you like and know what you don't like - simple really. You work hard all year round so why not treat yourselves to somewhere that extra bit special? We were the same as you, stayed in various self catering places over the years before finally buying our little piece of paradise also on the golf course in Caleta. Go for it I say!! ;)
I'd love someone to post some pics of the golf course villas on here ? I've walked past it many times on my way to the Atlantico but never ventured near..............

we used to rent up the hill at a friends house
untill they moved over full time.
then we went to barcello for 2 years in a row.
we then went to the sheraton for my wife birthday
and have been going back every april and oct since.
Yeh I agree with the above comments mate, you worked for your money and holiday you do what you like with it.
You will appreciate it more perhaps and why not!
This year being our Ruby "celebration" have decided to open the wallet a bit more, dig in deeper and have rented a private villa up in Villaverdi with its own swimming pool, 4 bedrooms, and everything else that goes with a 4/5 star villa. To say we are looking forward to it is an understatement.

You work hard so deserve to holiday hard and enjoy each and every day in the way you want. Nothing wrong at all with being comfortable in your holiday accommodation in an area that you love. Just little things like not having to get up early to put your towels on decent sunbeds can make a difference. Enjoy every minute of your well earned holiday!!!
