This afternoon I found a large locust on my patio here in Lajares.It was exhausted and not going anywhere.
I'd read that there has been a plague of these insects in the MIddle East but the strong winds we have had were not coming from the E but the SW.Little boy lost or more on the way?
Watch the skies!
I remember loads of them coming over a few years ago. Lets hope it's not going to happen again. ???

They called them 'flying prawns'...pink and virtually blind they crashed into everything.
I rescued a praying mantis from being run over on the road. It was not very grateful - aggressive little critters, aren't they?
