Title: A couple of holiday snaps
Post by: duncolm on March 05, 2013, 19:53:17 PM
I've started playing with some of the photos from last month.

These are too wide to paste into a message here, so click on the link. You may then have to click on the picture to view it full size:

From off the La Pared to Pajara road (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8381/8532306594_38ddfcc733_o.jpg)

Cofete Beach from the village (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8518/8532111574_fb2bf1bdb3_o.jpg) Villa Winter is on the extreme right.

Cracking pictures Dunc.
I love those panorama shots. Like the beach shot the best, as it brings back memories of heading down to that beach on a few occasions.

Love to forget that bl00dy road across though!!

Great pictures. Unfortunately you can only post pictures 500 pixels wide. That´s a great way of doing it.

Thanks folks,

Woe, I reckoned 7000 pixels wide was a bit over the top....

Kenny, you mean this road?

I saved myself the stress of driving and paid for a 4x4 trip.

If anybody wants to see more I'm dropping the photos here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/43676429@N02/sets/72157632919717659/detail/)

ps
anyone notice that the same car appears twice in the Cofete panorama? ;D

Duncolm, I have a Flickr account. Can you give us a quick run-down on how you upload to the forum. I normally use ImageShack but I like these big pics.

Woe, if you bring the picture up on the Flickr page then right click on it you get an option 'copy image location'. At least you do in Firefox, IExplorer probably calls it something different. Just paste the resulting link between the IMG tags.

Alternatively, and even simpler, there's a 'share' button on the Flickr page. Click that, select BBCode and copy and paste the resulting code into your message. This includes a link back to your Flickr page.

Cheers duncolm.  I often have pictures which, when reduced to 500 pix, lose all there detail.

That is the correct road Dunc. Wife hated it coming back as she was the one hanging over the edge ;D. She said I was trying to get rid of her, without thinking I was in the car as well  :D :D :D

My girlfriend didn't go on Cofete, she'd have done her nut on that road.

We were once on a road which went up to a ski area, via a series of hairpin bends. After about 4 corners she decided this was too scary for her and I pulled into a lay-by. She insisted we weren't going on, so I turned to go back down only to be told that we can't go back down there..... ???
