A bird called the Dee- Dee can be spotted in June/July its brown with a big breast
PMFSL.....
Have just wikipedied the Dee-Dee bird and it has a shrieking call, that sounds like OI YOU, it is prepared to mate the whole year round
Back to the subject - the Fuerteventura Stone Chat MAY be seen at the reservoir on the way to Los Mollinos. Best use Google Earth to find it
When---- :'( we get loads of rain in Corralejo, a lake forms by the main road down to town.
So we had our temporary lake last year for quite a while (nice).
We studied the birds on it for a few days & discovered a pair of Ruddy Shelled Ducks. Took a photo but no good -too far away! :(
The ducks stayed every day until the last drop of water had gone. So good to see something different.
We get Stonechats in our garden sometimes. 8) 8) 8)

Not a red breast then!
If you travel out of Corralejo on the FV-101 towards Lajares, park around the FV-101 turn off to El Cotilo/Lajares, cross the road onto the new road (Stopped Building it now) the dirt track used to be know as "Camino Los Pascuales" on the maps. Around this area you can often see the odd "Egyptian Vulture" soaring above, or if you are lucky, perched on the walls. I have also seen a few "Houbara" in this area. The Natural Park on the outskirts of Corralejo is excellent for studying migrating birds, make sure you go well away from the main road.
8)Thank you all for the help. I have seen the a Black Eyed Bulbul which I got a decent picture of with a Great Southern Shrike I will post a picture . Sunpics
