Title: ITV, CH 4 etc +nilesat
Post by: ZappaRocks on November 29, 2012, 18:32:20 PM
ITV various regions including HD are now completely free to air (no card or Sky box required) on a 1.2m dish from Astra, signal is weaker on some, strangely despite being on the same frequency.

Also on is ITV+1 and channel 4 HD only which has been available for a while but I needed a free to air box to test it which I did today. It is weak as well though we had intermittent cloud. Also on is ch4/7 too.

Channel 5 is still active but needs a sky card or a modified box.

Also for those with free to air HD boxes on Nilesat, the MBC channels have also added HD to their line up again for some time, MBC 2, 3 and 4 including Action, Max and Persia all free to air HD, hopefully they will remain free. The MBC SD channels are as normal without change.

You should be able to add them to other channels with

10994 H 20000

11126 V 22000

I'm just guessing 3/4 or 5/6, the box I used searched all. The info you'll probably find elsewhere by now.

According to Lyngsat they are on 5/6.

Should the 10994 H be on 22000 and not 20000?   ;)

copied from http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/astra2f.htm (http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/astra2f.htm)

The "ITV"transponder/frequency of 10.936 V, SR 23.000, FEC 8/9 DVB-S2 QPSK on the Astra 1N satellite at 28.2 degreees east has now added an encrypted channel which is named as "4041", could this channel be for the long awaited and soon to be expected new"UTV HD" channel, it could be going either there or it could be going on the recently relabelled and encryption flag removed "20780" channel on 11.052 H, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6 which is currently carrying a copy of ITV 1 HD London
