Does anyone know if we would be able to buy a sim card to use in an Ipad so we can get internet access without having to rely on Wifi availability. It's like a pay as you go card which can be topped up. They are available from all the usual carriers in the UK like O2, Orange, TMobile etc but just wondered if we could get one over there.
Thanks
I am with orange and if you have the new iphone they give one for free, but there is a 5 euro charge a month for having it thereafter. So if you go into any shop which provided your phone service they will be able to help you out.

I paid €20 for a pay as you go Orange sim for my ipad. The young girl in the Altantico shop was very helpful. She asked if my ipad was locked to a particular sim, and was clueless what she meant. She popped the sim from her own iPhone into my ipad..and it worked. This granny does not understand technical stuff, and it was nice to speak with someone sympathetic. Face booking every day with all the grandbairns....brilliant.
It was brilliant...while it lasted! 6 days, and I was only on face book for an hour each evening. The Atlantico shop then put me on a € 3 per day agreement. Well worth the money. I can't use up all the bytes That I'm allowed each day. There may be other cheaper ways, but I'm very happy with this method. I know we could sit in a bar and get free wifi in the evenings, but since we would still have to buy drinks etc. and would rather be in the comfort of our own appartment......! My husband used to spend that amount on a daily newspaper. Now he reads several papers on line, and watches the match highlights.
