I don't suppose many of you read Jand's input to the site ;) but for some reason I did today and found that message #3327 was quite surprising: a magnitude 2.8 quake 22 km from La Oliva, on the far side of Lobos shortly before 8 am yesterday. For those of us living in Corralejo, that's mighty close! :o

Following the links, you find that it actually made it onto the world earthquake map, and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre is asking for reports from people who felt it. I didn't - did anyone else?
We can see Lobos from our balcony and we didn't feel a thing here... and I certainly don't remember my girlfriend telling me she felt the earth move ;D
