The Minister for Education is providing scholarships worth €3000 per trainee  to anyone  interested in doing an Intercultural mediator course .http://www.canarias7.es/articulo.cfm?id=271389 (http://www.canarias7.es/articulo.cfm?id=271389)

The Minister, Juan Jimenez, stresses the importance of initiatives like this. "It's important to work together to improve personal and social development of the immigrant population and society as a whole, regardless of cultural background and to unite the island society through the principles of democratic and participatory society" .
