I was alone today (nude) on a beach in cotilla.
All the bathers were textiles except for a youngish couple who embraced nature and who were fully nude. I thought of introducing myself and when I finally plucked up the courage, I looked over and could see this white bum bouncing up and down in the air.
I didn't know what to do but really wanted to join in. I was going to head over for a little fun but they were getting clothed. Looks like I missed out.
Is it normal for naturists to have sex on the beach in plain sight of other people?
Can anyone recommend any other good hot spots?
It is neither normal nor approved by most naturists to have sex in fulll view of others in this way.

They weren't naturists. They were exhibitionists. As jg says, naturists don't do that sort of thing any more than textiles would. In fact, it's that sort of behaviour that gets naturism a lot of the bad press that true naturists really don't deserve.

We recognised the first post as a windup / single male straightaway.
As swingers ourselves - who only play as a couple, with other couples - AND NOT IN PUBLIC - we're used to weeding out such contacts. They still try, though. Just sad and desperate.
It's just a shame that people constantly muddle naturism and public sex.
We proudly have a foot in both camps, but though we may spend a lot of time naked at clubs
and parties, we don't take our sex lives to the naturist beach.
Naturism topics should be kept clean, too.

It depends how you define public sex.
At a club, it can be on the roof terrace if the sun's out. A rare treat a couple of weeks back. Or the couples room, with any number of other couples, where the single males can only watch through the windows. Or in a 20 seat jaccuzzi.
If it's just the two of us it might be out in the country, on a high spot so we can see anyone approaching, or on the beach in our foldup shelter. And one you can't beat - away in a hotel, overlooking a busy road, bent over the dressing table with the curtains open just far enough for faces to be seen, without giving the game away.
