Right girls and boys, as we will be "celebrating" (who the hell named it a celebration!) our Silver Anniversary first 2 weeks in September 2013 and have looked at the usual hot picks like Florida, California, Carribbean cruise and the like.
I (not the SWMBO) would like to stay on the island, but in order for me to "sell" the idea to the boss, need to come up with that special, can't resisit villa or apartment with roof terracing/sea view etc.
So the Question is guys, what do you suggest, maybe you own a place that matches what Im looking for, or you can suggest somewhere that you been to or know off etc
This is a serious question, and would appreciate any guidance. if anyone wishs to send the information by PM, thats fine and I will keep all of these PMs confidential.
Thanks in advance.
Kenny
No Blackpool etc suggestions ::)
Do you want to stay in Corralejo Kenny?

Ill stay anywhere fifi as long as the accommodation has a seaview, pool (preferably) or sea at the back step, private pool or back sunbathing patio/area (just on the off chance we err, well you know ;) ;) ) apart from that I will consider anywhere.
This would be perfect if you wanted to " er well you know" ;) ;D

I don't have any personal knowledge of Bahiazul, though I see it every time I go to the Corralejo Mercadona and it really does look swish (though a little gaudy with the bright blue mosque-style "onions"). They don't talk of sea-view, but they're up high so I would have thought some would have a view of the sea from the roof terrace.
Not cheap, though: Bahiazul Villas. Oficial | bahiazulexcellence.com

It looks like a perfect silver anniversary place. I didn't get a luxury holiday :( but my musician hubby wrote a love song, "One hundred over four" and performed it for the first time in front of about 100 people. Talk about romantic!!!!!

If I only had a corner of your bank book!!
Some good suggestions, keep them coming.
Sheila, that is a great one, but only goes to July next year.
Hotel Rio Calma in Costa Calma in very special - It was built a few years ago on a Venetian theme, has a large walk through arboretum and a river running thru it with a huge waterfall that falls down to the beach.
Is that the one where we had coffee Paul? It was lush......

Now that is lovely. In fact I will have to dust off my dicky bow tie for this one.
Seriously it one beautiful place and I have taken the plunge and asked them for prices.
I will lie down when the e-mail comes back to me and before I open it ;D
At least my plates and dishes, won't need to haul all the cases up those stairs, their guy will help her im sure :D
Thanks HH its mucho appreciated
It would be nice for an 'end of holiday few days' if nothing else! Ask them for their best 'deal price'. Just B & B? Its in Corralejo so you could always go into town for dinner.
Please keep us posted. :)

A few days! Is it that expensive ;D I have just asked them for a week and then a 2 week stay in their Royal Suite with sea view :o
I will of course let you know how I didn't get on, as they have yet to stop thumping on that calculator of theirs!!!
Just had a look on their website and they offer a week of 'Romance' priced at just over £1,500!! Sounds absolutely brilliant and I would think my hubby was very special indeed if he booked that for our Silver Anniversary! It includes a couple of meals in their speciality restaurant and spa treatments etc.
Thomson (hotel only) wanted about £1,100 for 7 nightsB & B in a twin room so the above offer seems a good price.
Received a reply back to my cost enquiry and it is €2149 for 2 x 7 days half board. Or approx £1790 week.
Worth thinking about as it is absolutely beautiful and relaxing looking.
We can always slum it on the beach the last week, in one of those stone circles. In fact Im sure I had seen one cracking looking establishment on Flag Beach with a fine plastic sheet over the roof and a rather nifty looking pallet acting as a double glazed wooded door ;D
I looked at the prices aswell after someone put the link up, I said to hubby "Oh it's really lovely and the price isn't prohibitive, let's stay there next time we go" then I realised the price was per day NOT per week :o Ah well, we can but dream....
KWC54 - you could always stay in the bunker with "Mike Duffy" for the second week instead of a stone circle ;D

Venice :-*
Oh that hotel is so beautiful. You just have to go there if only for just one night.
Venice is one of my favourite places in the world. It would be a fantastic place to go too. It is very expensive there for accommodation too. :)

Just got reminded last night when out with friends, that our aniversary next year isn't our Silver, but our Ruby - oops. :-[ ::)
Slight gaff made in my 1st post, and Im sure the bruises will go away before my work tomorrow.
On a more positive note, were now not as old as you all thought ;D ;D :-*
Getting older by the minute Kenny.... :D :D :D

Age is just a number. ;)
A tip if you really are thinking of booking that superb hotel by the beach: make absolutely sure you don't get a room facing inland as there's an entire half-built complex complete with supermarket rotting just the other side of the road! :o
