Just returned home from Costa Calma area, lovely beach, but Jandia better. Only  thing is many germans.
Thought about the north and as we are considering a holiday home, wondered about these foods in the Corralejo area?
And maybe markets selling fresh veg and fresh fish?

The best supermarket in Corralejo is Mercadona open 9.15am to 9.15pm every day, car parking for 200 cars and dont forget 1 euro coin for the trolley Huge fish counter, not so great on fresh veg but plenty of fruit. They also sell gluten free products, best value supermarket in town.

Ali Ba Ba's for doner kebabs!  They're in the Atlantico Center in Corralejo and on the harbour road in Puerto del Rosario, between Leon y Castillo and the tall hotel.

The only thing you will really struggle to get is Frylite. There has been a couple of us after it and can't get it there. Also tried to find fresh noodles for stir fry...still haven't been able to find them....

Agree with Duggiesdad about Mercadona in Corralejo (&puerto rosario).  I was so excited to see that photo of inside Mercadona while remembering the Mercadona jingle that plays whilst you are shopping.  Can't wait to be there in 8weeks pushing the trolley round.

If in Corralejo and Mercadona is a bit out of the way for you, the next best option is the big Spar in Las Palmeras, they have a much bigger selection than Hiperdino - excellent and exstensive fruit/veg, superb fresh fish and meat counters etc.

the freezer shop in El Matorral (opp Ikea) had chicken sausages a few weeks ago but didnt see them two days ago.  British Stores sell quite a few Quorn products and I'm sure I have seen soya milk in the supermarkets.

Dagwood, the Mercadona on the Costa Antigua industrial estate is progressing well.

They've put the Mercadona signs up this week, and I think that the main work remaining is the car park.

It had a projected opening of September, so they won't be far out :D.
