can any one tell me if the beaches have places where you can buy drinks and food? As it is our 1st time and we don't wont to lug stuff to the beach if there are paces where you can buy things from thanks pete
On the town beaches there are bars, snack bars and restaurants that front on to them.
On the sand dunes there is a snack bar on the beach near the Oliva Beach hotel.
If you're staying in Corralejo there's Waikiki bar that's right on the beach and does food and drink very reasonably!! Often enjoy cocktails there, while the kids play in the rock pools. Then we all tuck into burgers and chips at a very cheap rate
Does anyone know the best beaches for good waves in the corralejo area? Also, what is the best beaches to go to near arena hotel forgetting waves.. Which is the busiest beaches with watersports/food n drink places etc? Thanks in advance.

Depends what you are after tenerife lover. If you are really up for it then there is an aggresive break north of Corralejo harbour or off the beaten track at Majanicho (north coast). You'll find a few good waves at Flag Beach before the kite surfers arrive and then go past the two hotels in the sand dunes and head to the last two beaches before you reach Caldereta area - Playa del Moro I think it's called. Enjoy.

Jet ski`s? parascending? nay nay nay lad, not in these here parts. Tha wants `tother island tha does. More zimmer frames and inva-scooters than jet ski`s here.

I think you can hire jet ski's within Corralejo harbour but not aware of any parasending (perhaps Caleta or down south). Windsurfing, kayaks etc all available within Corralejo.
Outside of Corralejo town then the northern beaches are not that commercialised so town is best for bars and restuarants with a waterside view.
