Hello
I have booked tickets online for flights and added 2 bicycles.
Does anyone know if there s special packaging that I should use for these and also, is there a weight limit for the bicycles? There didn't seem to be any information on this when I was booking (unless I clicked so fast I missed it)
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Katrina

They should be folded flat, secure and either in a proper cycle bag or a box, such as the one you would get when you buy them.
We took 2 new ones over so just left them in the boxes they were delivered to us in.  :D

You take them to the 'special' baggage check in at the airport.
Regards, Neil
Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

As a matter of curiosity how much does the airline charge per bike please.

Deso

£25 per flight each way if prepaid and £30 each way if paid at the airport.

If you take a suitcase and a bike, the total weight must not exceed 32Kg

Thanks for the info.
Guess you dont get much to take in a case then.
The reason I was asking is we saw some bikes in the sports shop in Rotondas for €89 last time we were over.

Kat Nuts

Thanks for the info on packing them guys, that is really useful.
And yes, we paid £25 each to Easyjet for the bicycles, one way and on-line!
Interestingly, I just called Easy jet Customer Service who have said they have changed the rules regarding bike weights and it is now up to 32 kg per bicycle.

Dont know if I am having a senior moment or what but I am more confused than ever, you say "That will be weight including packaging" what weight, the bike, the case, both or what.
What i was enquiring was is the 32kg limit for the bike and case or just the bike.lol

Deso

The weight limit is the total weight of the package, bike and case.  :D

Hello again,
I believe the rules have changed
See article 20.4.9
http://www.easyjet.com/EN/Book/regulations.html
The Customer Service rep was saying that my case can be up to 20kg and the bike can be up to 32kg (as long as combined weight is not more than 50kg)
