So sad to see all the fencing and unsightly green plastic surrounding the area infront of Peskys blocking the sea view.  Rumoured they are going to be building on that land so the sea view we have enjoyed so much all the years we have been coming will not be visible from the bars along that bit.  Feel sorry for Tom the owner of the bar.  Bet Jay and Sarah and Monty Florio before them are glad they got out when they did.

Well they have made the seating area so small since they were made to move the tables back
that it killed a lot of the atmosphere but its still quite a good afternoon in the sun with the musicians playing. Wishing Tom all the best.

What happened to Jay and Sarah?  Are they elsewhere on the island?

gillgooding

Not sure what happened to that lovely couple Jay and Sarah but it was rumoured they were going back to the UK ?

Hi Gill, sadly nothing is forever, loved sitting there in the morning enjoying a nice breakfast and that wonderful view. Perhaps Peskies have had it too good for too long! There are other venues along the prom of course but none of them have  the little playground that Peskies had for so long.

ZZ it was from your initial recommendation that we first went there and then spent many subsequent hours happily drinking and eating and enjoying the view.  Remember the doughnuts and the coffee?  Seems ages ago now.  The original train was running round the resort too so it must be a long while ago.

I sure remember the doughnuts, best in the town, you had to get there early as they sometimes sold out.  The cake stall in the Campanario has some nice home made cakes but again, you have to get there early (on market days).

It must be the oldest bar in Corralejo. We bought our apartment 31 years ago and that bar was there then, they used to do nice crumpets. It was run by John who became involved in local politics. The playground was owned by the council.

Think its between that one or Blue Rock

The building work is now continuing at a pace. Really sorry for the businesses and the apartments behind the new construction.
Not sure how the planning permission was granted, but it doesn't seem right.

What is the new building going to be?

Real shame about Peskys. Spent many a happy hour sat admiring the awesome view. Remember John and Michelle well from when they had Peskys and before that Fagins ( whose slogan was " find us if you can"), as it was situated on a side street heading towards Bristol Playa. I believe John is now semi retired and living in Lake Tahoe teaching skiing.Happy days.

The building license is for a restaurant, we need another one.;-)

Often had brekkie in there. Sad to see it's changing...but then Corralejo as a whole is doing a lot of changing. Some of it's good ,some not so good. But change it will.
