Where are summer fruits in the supermarket please?
Title: Re: Jon's daily Spanish Words
Post by: DaveW on March 26, 2015, 14:41:20 PM
Nearly,

Donde están - where are plural objects, would be está for singular (the accent over a vowel means that emphasis is given in pronounciation. Sometimes the accent also distinguished between two diferent meanings of the same spelling e.g. sí means yes, si means if

de los frutos de verano - the fruits of summer, again los for plural masculine fruits/summer, el for singular and La/las for singular/plural feminine

verano is masculine as should be el rather than la

So the sentence should read:

¿dónde están los frutos de verano en el supermercado
