I needed to find some emergency accommodation and booked into Papagayo apartments Corralejo with Thomson holidays. I stayed here 8 years ago and everything was fine. The sofa in the apartment was ripped and so badly stained that you would not want to sit on it and the chair was the same. The furnishings were appalling and the maids did very little apart from remove the rubbish. I complained and was moved to another apartment which was not any better. Instead of spending money building new swimming pools etc they need to refurbish the apartments.The outward appearance of the site looks fine but I am surprised that Thomson's expect people to stay in such dirty and shabby accommodation. I would not stay there again or recommend this site.
I have just returned to the UK after two weeks at the Villa's that are attached to the Papagayo hotel.
The Villa's are with James Villa or Villa Plus and was great.
The villa has its own pool and you can use the hotel pool's.
It was great being in a g string by the hotel pool and in the sauna at the hotel.
If you wanted to use the sauna you had to switch it on then give it a hour to get hot. 8)
